In support of Green Mountain Animal Defenders (GMAD), volunteers and fundraisers will hit the streets to walk just over a mile to raise awareness and much-needed funds to support animal protection and rescue efforts.

Participants at our family-friendly event are encouraged to dress up in animal-related costumes and/or bring their leashed or willingly restrained animal companions to join in the festivities.

The walk is scheduled to begin at 12 noon, but check-in will open at 11 a.m. Those who arrive early will have a chance to try out some vegan baked goodies, meet and socialize with other walkers, have first choice of signs to carry, take pictures, visit our outreach booth, and more.

When you join our walk, you will be raising funds to support Vermont’s oldest and largest volunteer-run animal protection organization which means contributions will go directly to provide life saving support for animals in need. Last year, GMAD raised over $6,300 and this years goal is $8,000. The funds raised will help protect many species, including companion, wildlife, farmed, and many other types of animals. Your participation will also increase awareness of animal related issues and how together, we are making a difference.

Participants have the option to choose a T-Shirt or a bandana after raising $50. For every $100 raised, participants receive two raffle tickets for a chance to win some prizes.

This year, be a hero by becoming the voice and fundraising for the well-being of ALL animals who are often overlooked and forgotten.

Registration is free; fundraising is encouraged.
