Small Dog Electronics founder earns social responsibility award
Don Mayer, founder and CEO of Small Dog Electronics, is being honored with this year’s Terry Ehrich Award for Social Responsibility in Business.
Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility each year honors one of its members for outstanding dedication to socially responsible business practices. The late Ehrich was owner of Hemmings Motor News and a founding member of VBSR.
“The award is given to a VBSR member that best exemplifies Ehrich’s commitment to the environment, workplace, progressive public policy, and community,” a news release issued Friday stated.
“Don Mayer has worked tirelessly throughout his career to promote socially responsible business practices and public policy,” said Andrea Cohen, executive director of VBSR. "This recognition has been a long time coming and recognizes Don for his commitment to creating a quality workplace and his dedication to community service. Don is a prime example of how social responsibility and business success are intrinsically linked."
