Vermont Businesses for Social Responsibility (VBSR) is a statewide, nonprofit business association with a mission to leverage the power of business for positive social and environmental impact. For over 30 years VBSR has championed “business as a force for good” through education, networking, advocacy and thought leadership.

We are Vermont’s network of students, entrepreneurs, sole proprietors, small businesses, largest employers, policymakers, advocates, nonprofit organizations and inspired individuals – collectively working toward a just, thriving and transformative economy that works for all people and the planet.

Are you ready for the start of the 2025 Vermont legislative session? You will be after attending the 2024 VBSR Legislative Breakfast! Join VBSR members, policymakers, advocates, and state officials as we explore and celebrate the opportunities ahead to work together toward a just, thriving, and transformative economy in the upcoming legislative session. Guests will enjoy free and delicious coffee donated by Kestrel Coffee Roasters as well as free finger foods.

Join VBSR and United Way of Northwest Vermont for a virtual workshop and conversation about strategies to promote healthy and safe workplaces.

For over a decade VBSR has engaged in advocacy to support affordable and quality healthcare for Vermont businesses, employees and communities. This November we’re hoping that you will join us for an hour to learn more about the recent Green Mountain Care Board recommendations to close crucial services across the state, the status of the national debate on reducing healthcare costs, and approaches that Vermont-based insurance companies are taking to increase affordability and coverage.

VBSR recognized Vermont State Senator Kesha Ram Hinsdale from Shelburne (Chittenden-Southeast District) with their 2024 VBSR Legislator of the Year Award, honoring her during the 2024 VBSR Legislative Breakfast on Wednesday, December 11 when VBSR also announced its 2025 Advocacy Agenda.

VEEP's new poster includes a beautiful illustration by local artist Sarah-Lee Terrat that shows a community that has done an amazing array of things to prepare itself for a changing climate.
