The Case for Universal Health Care (1992)

Vermont should develop a program to offer universal health care and insurance for all Vermonters. No one segment of society should be saddled with paying for such a system. Cost containment guidelines should be a priority of the system. Access to affordable and quality health care should be a right of every American. Health care should be expanded to include comprehensive preventative medicine programs, wellness programs and long-term care.
