Know Your Source Nears Launch with Support from Two Prominent VBSR Members Company Seeks Accredited Phase II Investors

by Douglas “Las” Wengell on Sep 22nd, 2008

Know Your Source, an exciting start-up and VBSR member with national ambitions, aspires to be the premier business-to-business direct marketing supplier of holistic-oriented medical products. It was seed funded in May 2007 by like-minded Gardener’s Supply Company and Seventh Generation. The company is currently located at Gardener’s with five employees; its distribution center is next to FedEx headquarters in Memphis, Tennessee.

Know Your Source is deploying a print catalog, trade and web advertising and a social network akin to Facebook but for health practitioners. The company will debut at the international iSPA 2008 conference in November at the Venetian Hotel, Las Vegas. A debut print ad and introduction to its offers can be viewed here: http://www.knowyoursource.com/coming.pdf

The book, Educational Opportunities in Integrative Medicine: The A-to-Z healing Arts Guide and Professional Resource Directory authored by the founder, with endorsements from nationally recognized medical thought leaders and currently available on Amazon and at bookstores, was published September 1st.

The Association for Integrity in Medicine (http://www.integrityinmedicine.org/), a Vermont 501(c)(6) nonprofit incorporated by the founder, reinforces KYS as an industry advocate and CSR pioneer.

The integrative and wellness marketplace includes licensed health professionals such as massage therapists, chiropractics and acupuncturists and increasingly allopathic doctors plus businesses who employ them, including spas of all types, destination retreats and wellness clinics. Integrative Medicine combines the best of tested traditional and complementary medical treatment and care.

The company will provide detailed product information, including material sourcing, ratings, images and maps, providing customers with increased global supply chain transparency and manufacturing accountability.

“Imagine a world where consumers and financial markets knew the true environmental cost of its purchases?” asks the founder. “We’d be one step closer to providing the information needed to live sustainably.”

Accredited investors and others may contact the founder directly.
