2006 Large Company of the Year
Award Winner: Green Mountain Power
The 2006 Large Company Leader of the Year Award will be presented to Green Mountain Power Company of Colchester. Green Mountain Power is one of only a handful of companies in Vermont that report on social responsibility using the Global Reporting Initiative guidelines, and the first utility in Vermont to do so. For almost a decade Green Mountain Power has reported on its environmental footprint through membership in CERES, but now the company has expanded its reporting to include social and financial dimensions, as well.
