When you sit down to a meal at your local restaurant, do you suppose the owner is able to name the farmers who produced the food on your plate? If you're eating at the Farmers Diner, chances are Tod Murphy can do just that. That's because he knows most of his food suppliers personally. It's all part of his mission to revive small-scale family farming by creating new markets for local agricultural products.

Join us to hear Tod address some of the challenges he faces, and talk about why he believes his concept of "pods" of diners supporting local communities throughout the country might prove to be the antidote to industrial agriculture.

From I-89, take the Woodstock/Rt. 4 exit. Go west on Rt. 4 (about 3 minutes). Farmers Diner is located in the Quechee Gorge Village on Route 4, 1/4 mile east of the Gorge bridge.
