Event Description

The Power of Giving

Brattleboro-based New Chapter, founded over 25 years ago by Paul and Barbi Schulick, grew out of a passion to promote health through innovative botanical formulations made with 100% real foods and herbs. Mother Nature is a powerful healing force, and the company’s mission is to deliver the wisdom of nature to all people interested in natural wellness. New Chapter’s passion also extends well beyond its products—the company is committed to sustainability at every level, and has been recognized by the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation for its many accomplishments.

Also integral to New Chapter’s mission is engaging in philanthropic partnerships to support communities in need, both overseas and locally in Brattleboro and Vermont. In one dramatic example, the company has been supporting a Vermont midwife’s work in a clinic in Bali, Indonesia, by donating prenatal vitamins to expectant mothers—ultimately making a significant difference in their nutritional health which contributes to lower infant and maternal mortality rates. This success has led the company to create a similar program for prenatal clinics in Vermont.
